Comp

This was our first film project we learned about comp and using a camera.Next time we do this we have to work on keeping the camera level in a lot of shots its sideways.Other than that i think we did pretty good and fun.

                              Leading lines
Leading lines are used to draw the viewer’s eye through a photograph. They are intentional or unintentional, natural lines created in the space of the photograph and are used to create a visual narrative in the composition.

                               Vertical lines
Vertical aerial photography is an aerial photography technique where the shots are taken from directly above the subject of the image. Hence, this method of aerial photography is also often referred to as “overhead aerial photography.”

                            Horizontal lines
Horizontal photographs are photographs that are wider than they are tall.

                              Diagonal lines

An informal definition of a diagonal is a ‘sloping line’. Of course, in an image there can be complex relationships between the objects in the image. So, a sloping line is rarely just that.

                                    Curves
curves are both important aspects of composition. They can separate or connect elements, lead the eye into and through a scene, and add a sense of movement and dynamism.

                                    Balance

Balance is a compositional technique in photography that juxtaposes images within a frame so that the objects are of equal visual weight. When different parts of a photo command your attention equally, perfect balance is achieved.

                              Symmertrical

They can make for very eye-catching compositions, particularly in situations where they are not expected.Both sides are the same.

                              Asymmetrical 

Both sides are not the same.

                                      Unity
unity occurs when all of the elements of a piece combine to make a balanced, harmonious, complete whole

Variety

Variety is about varying elements and objects in your image, to avoid making them boring

Movement

a movement in which some elements recurs regularly. Like a dance it will have a flow of objects that will seem to be like the beat of music.

as an area or object within the artwork that draws attention and becomes a focal point.

Emphasis

Proportion

refers to the relative size and scale of the various elements in a design.

Pattern

is a way to grab the attention of your audience and draw them into the image. Repeating a shape throughout your photo gives you instant composition

Birds eye

bird’s eye is an elevated view of an object from above, with a perspective as though the observer were a bird, often used in the making of blueprints, floor plans, and maps.

Worms eye

is a view of an object from below, as though the observer were a worm

Rule of thirds

2 horizontal lines and 2 vertical lines. You then position the important elements in your scene along those lines, or at the points where they meet.

Framing

using elements of a scene to create a frame within your frame. For example, you might shoot through a doorway, pulled back curtains, branches, fences, tunnels, or arches to highlight your subject.

Simplicity

Keeping things simple sometimes is the best way to get a good photo. Look for uncomplicated backgrounds and try to focus on keeping objects out of the picture that may draw attention away from your subject.
